Gralken is a small game made by one person. This page says what the game records, why, and how to stop it. It is written to be read, not scrolled past.
The short version
- No cookies. No advertising networks. No Google Analytics. Nothing about you is sold or shared.
- Two random ids live in your browser's storage: one for the site's visitor counts, one that keys your cloud save and play statistics. Neither is tied to a name, an email, or anything else, because the game never asks for those.
- You can switch recording off, and you can delete everything, from this page.
What is recorded
When you visit the site
Which pages you open, how long the tab is visible, where you came from (the referring site's name only, never the full address), and the campaign tags on the link you clicked, if any. From your connection the game derives a country, region and city, and from your browser a device type, browser and operating system. The address and the browser string themselves are discarded the moment those are derived and are never stored. Your screen size is rounded to a bucket, not kept as a resolution.
When you play
Which regions you entered, quests finished, enemies defeated, levels gained, how long each session ran, and whether you played on touch or with a mouse. This is what the game's own dashboard uses to see what players actually do. The same id keys your cloud save, so Continue works between sessions.
When you talk to a character
What you type to a character, together with your character's name and situation, is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to write the reply. Under its commercial terms Anthropic does not train on this and deletes it within 30 days. Please do not type personal information into a conversation. It is a game, and the characters do not need to know your real name.
When you see something sponsored
Billboards, posters and sponsored quests are labelled Sponsored. The game counts how often each was seen and for how long, keyed by a code that changes every page load and identifies nobody. Whether an advertiser's later sale was caused by an ad is estimated from timing across everyone, not traced to you.
What is not done
- No third-party trackers, pixels or ad networks run on this site.
- Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for advertising elsewhere. Advertisers see totals, never people.
- No behavioural profile is built. The two ids exist to count and to save; they are never used to target.
- Nothing follows you to other sites.
How long
- The visitor id in your browser expires after 13 months.
- Visit and play records are deleted after 25 months.
- Conversation text is held by Anthropic for up to 30 days, then deleted.
- Your cloud save is kept until you delete it or start over.
Who handles the data
Vercel hosts the site and derives the coarse location. Supabase stores the records, in the United States. Anthropic processes character dialogue. Each acts on the game's instructions, and none of them uses the data for its own purposes.
Your choices
Recording in this browser
Checking...
Delete my data
Erases every visit record, play record and cloud save tied to this browser, then clears the ids the browser holds. This deletes your game progress, including the cloud save. Purchase records, if any, are kept as required for accounting.
Recording off stops visit and play recording in this browser. The game, saves and everything else keep working. Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends it, recording is off automatically and the switch above says so. Delete my data erases the visit records, play records and cloud save tied to this browser, then clears the browser ids.
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, and similar laws you can also ask for a copy of your data or object to its use. The controls above are the fastest way to do that, and the contact below is the other.
Children
Gralken is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. The game does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The identifiers described above support the game's internal operations: counting visits, keeping saves, and showing labelled sponsored content in context. They are not used for behavioural advertising. If you believe a child has given the game personal information, use the contact below and it will be deleted.
